Glenn Road trips

So Glenn picked me up from the Cakebread's house and we drove to whangamomoma (this is probably spelt wrong but to be fair I can barely say it let along spell it) we went along the forgotten highway lots of good banter along the way, we stayed a pub in whangamomoma, had good fat off burger, whanga ale, game of pool, room for the night a breakfast $65 not bad! next day we got up took photo's outside hotel, drove to damper falls, coffee in ohura cafe, chilled on a beach up the coast, New Plymouth, stayed with a guy named Mike we hung around with his flat mates, few beers Tui beer - under the lid on the bottle is a trivia question the we went out in New Plymouth,

Then next day Biking, coast, big rock, fish and chip, rugby Canterbury vs Auckland! Not exactly football!

next day was sort raining so made most of the day went to a museum and a local art gallery then we continued down the surf highway. Saw some lighthouses, drove up to see dawson's falls. Stop in a town called harawa we got some dinner at a restaurant call morrison's and then to the local cinema and watched Taken 2 and stayed in a lodge. Breakfast again, water tower! Another museum, beach and guitar, wanganui saw timmy whiteley (Robbie the card has been delivered). Now I have arrived in palmston north or palmy and had a BBQ with some really cool people Glenn knew and now just chilling reading and enjoying the sun!

Cakebread's and Roadtrip

Ok so i have left Auckland by bus to Cambridge to see Jo Cakebread and the rest of the Cakebread clan who are all awesome . Jo showed me around Cambridge (so countdown, mitre 10 and kiwi bank) . We also did a road trip to Rotorua which smells like eggs (sulphur). So we went up this mountain and on to this Sky-swing which is this massive sort of ball you sit in and it hoists you up and then you pull this leaver where Jo was bricking herself and then we went on the luges where I fell off because I was being too competitive and also ignoring the big red sign that told me to slow down! Then after going down on the gondala we then went to find so volcanic activities and took some sock monkey photos, then a Cakebread's BBQ.

I've arrived!

Ok so here is my first blog outside of the UK! I have had are really good send off from some amazing people in ringwood. I gonna miss you all!

So I'm currently in Auckland stay with a wonderful family Dave, Fiona and there nearly 6 mouth year old baby Emily! This is a good place to get over Jet lag and oh yes I definitely got over that a nice long 12hr sleep, a shower and a shave (btw I have no plans on doing the normal traveller look although this may change depending on how lazy I become with the shaver) all is good! :) So far I have sorted out my IRD (new Zealand tax) and have got a SIM card for my phone (if you would like this number ask my on Facebook please). Anyway I have been relaxing so far reading an actual book, have been introduced to lion rock by Dave in Piha. As well as being introduced to pineapple lumps (chocolate with pineapple and they taste amazing) also kiwi fish and chips and have just come back from roskill baptist church. The sermon was good and was talking about us enjoying serving God and how it's not wrong serve God and also enjoy doing it! Was a little distracted by the fact that the guy leading looked like Frodo from Lord of the Rings! Also went to have a look at some ww2 bunkers with David, it was extremely wet and we wimped out and went for a hot chocolate! All in all its been good so far and I'm look forward seeing Jo and the rest of the Cakebread family!

The Start...

Ok, Right, this is my attempt at bogging... Nope sorry I mean blogging (spell check humour there!) I have tried blogging before and well i've never been a very committed blogger as I just get bored, forget or just can't be bothered! This time is different I'm really gonna try keep this blogging malarkey up!

So I figured it was a good idea because then you guys can see where I am and what im up to.
